The Milk of Dreams takes its title from a children's book by Leonora Carrington (1917-2011), in which the Surrealist artist tells dreamlike tales of hybrid, mutant creatures that seem to terrify young and old alike. Carrington's story describes a magical world where life is constantly re-envisioned through the prism of the imagination and where everyone can change, be transformed, or become something or someone else. The Exhibition takes Carrington's otherworldly creatures as companions on an imaginary journey through metamorphoses of the body and definitions of the human.
Seduction of the Cyborg is one of the five thematic presentations that bring together works by artists and cultural practitioners across different times, geographies, and movements to provide historical context for the themes and issues raised through The Milk of Dreams.

“Kiss of the Rhinoceros was a pure love piece because it was so complicated. In the end, it took three years to construct.”

“The Kiss of the Rhinoceros is a characteristic Horn's mix of sexuality, humor, ritual and danger.”
