    弗雷德·桑德贝克

    弗雷德·桑德贝克的作品通过对光、影、比例和重力的部署,创造出引人注目的感知效果,以回应周围的建筑。使用商业丙烯酸纱线,桑德贝克通常在地板、天花板和墙壁上的不同点之间追溯空间,通过勾勒平面或体积来创造形状,并且构造一种玻璃窗或者闪闪发光的带颜色的线条的幻觉。

    Mikado or “pick-up-sticks’ game. The artist’s Mikado sculptures are generally installed flat against a wall, with a few
    exceptional examples occupying an entire space. This is a rare three-dimensional sculpture using more than one
    color, the majority of the room-scaled works are in black. A three-dimensional black Mikado is in the collection of the
    Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich.
