The exhibition in the Prinzenpalais of the Residenzschloss Altenburg presents important works by Dieter Appelt and provides an insight into his photographic oeuvre. In addition to his large-format, often serial photographic works, the exhibition also features drawings, objects, and films. With this presentation, the Lindenau-Museum Altenburg honors Dieter Appelt with the 2025 Gerhard Altenbourg Prize, the most important art award in Central Germany, recognizing his outstanding life’s work.
