Alice Aycock Goya Twister

Alice Aycock (born 1946, Harrisburg, PA, USA) must be counted among America‘s preeminent contemporary sculptors with a world wide reputation.

After early successes with important contributions to Land Art, she first gained international recognition in 1977 with her contribution to documenta 6 and a solo project at MoMA, New York, in the same year, and numerous one person shows in institutions in the USA and Europe in the following years including the MCA Chicago, the Haags Gemeentemuseum, Netherlands, and the Serpentine Gallery, London, and inclusions in the Venice Biennale, the Whitney Biennial and many more.
  

Alice Aycock’s works can be found in collections such as MoMA, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Metropolitan Museum, the Walker Art Center, LACMA, the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C., the Philadelphia Museum as well as many European collections including Museum Ludwig, Cologne, Sprengel Museum, Hannover, or the Louis Vuitton Foundation and many others.
