Scenery Shift sees the Exhibition Pavilion on Potsdam's Freundschaftsinsel as a stage. Sculptures and objects appear on it as stage crew and take up position in front of a wall painting, which initially serves silently as a stage projection, gradually revealing as much of itself as the audience invests attention in it. The space becomes a theatre in which everyone plays themselves—the exhibits and the people among them.
