Leunora Salihu's work invites us to look at the shapes, materials and spaces that surround us with a different eye, paying particular attention to architecture and volume. The sculptor works with a multitude of natural and industrial materials that she combines and juxtaposes to create works rich in contrasts. Between raw surfaces and molded elements, between balance and tension, her installations play with our senses and modify our perception of space. She conceives sculpture as an experience in which the place, the works and the visitor's movement interact closely.
For this exhibition, named Slack Tide, the artist uses the large rooms of the Halle Verrière to create an intense experience that offers the public a sensory journey through the forms, materials and architecture of the place.
