The Watermill Center is presents DiAlogs, the largest exhibition devoted to Robert Wilson’s three-dimensional works since the landmark 1991 retrospective Robert Wilson’s Vision. Bringing together sculpture, design, and found objects from The Watermill Center Collection, the exhibition spans more than six decades, from the 1960s through the 2020s, offering one of the most comprehensive examinations of Wilson’s object-based practice in over thirty years. Opening one year after the artist’s passing, DiAlogs reconsiders the sculptural works Wilson conceived for the stage – objects long understood within the context of his theatre that have equally been recognized as singular contributions to postwar sculpture, architecture, and design.
