You are warmly invited to a studio visit with Lena Henke, organized by Julia Rosenbaum. In her sculptures and installations, Lena Henke explores the body, femininity, power and urban spaces. In doing so, she continually re-examines the possibilities of sculpture – technically, formally and socially. Why does she view sculpture not as a static object, but as an open-ended process in which the body, space and social structures intertwine? As part of the preparations for an upcoming solo exhibition Galerie Thomas Schulte, this studio visit offers the opportunity to talk to Henke about her current works and her perspectives on sculpture. The studio visit will last approximately 1.5 hours, will be conducted in German and costs €15 per person. The address in Berlin-Tiergarten will be provided following confirmation of booking via mail@juliarosenbaum.com.
